Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol was the very first time I heard the Dickens tale. Unlike the rather uneven Magoo cartoons, this sticks very closely to the actual text and the songs are by Jule Styne who did the music for Funny Girl and collaborated on tunes like "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!", "The Christmas Waltz", "Three Coins in the Fountain", "Make Someone Happy" and "People", so a lot better than many might expect.
